What are your office hours?

The office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

How and when can I schedule an appointment with your office?

You may call to schedule an appointment at any time during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

How far in advance do you schedule patient appointments?

Your appointment will be scheduled based upon the nature and urgency of your symptoms/injury and the availability of our providers.

Do I need a referral?

You may need a referral if you have HMO insurance coverage.  Please contact the member services department of your plan to verify prior to your appointment.  Patients with Medicare and most commercial indemnity plans do not need a referral.

What types of insurance do you accept?

FoxCare Orthopaedics accepts Medicare, Medicaid, MVP, Excellus BC/BS, CDPHP, CASEBP and several others.  Please contact the member service department or plan administrator for your insurance to verify participation status.

What is your billing policy?

What is your payment policy?

All balances are due upon receipt of your statement.  If you are uninsured, your monthly payment due is based upon the payment agreement that you signed on your first visit.

How do I get my prescriptions/medications refilled?

If you need a prescription refill, please have the specific prescription information available and call the office at 607-432-2239.  All requests for prescription refills must be made with forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) business days advance notice.

We will make every effort to refill your prescription within twenty-four (24) hours.  Refills will NOT be made while the providers are busy with scheduled appointments and surgery, or on the weekends. Narcotics (Controlled Substances) will NOT be refilled after hours or on weekends.

When requesting your medications, please inform the office of the name of the medication and dosage, and whether you will pick your prescription up at the office would like it mailed to your home address.

If I have a question, can I call and speak to my doctor?

Yes, the providers at FoxCare Orthopaedics are happy to speak with you and answer your questions.  There is also a Registered Nurse on staff who is available when the providers are unavailable due to office and surgery schedules.

How do I contact my doctor if I have a medical emergency after regular hours?

If you have an orthopaedic medical emergency and the office is closed, please call 607-432-2000 and ask the Fox Hospital switchboard operator to connect you with the Orthopaedic Surgeon ‘on call’.

What is your policy for releasing medical records and x-ray films?

All patients must sign an Authorization to Release Information if they would like copies of their records for their personal files, legal or insurance reasons, or on-going treatment or evaluation with another physician. You may call the office directly for a copy of the form or print the form from our website. Please allow 7-10 business days for the processing of your request. FoxCare Orthopaedics reserves the right to charge a minimal fee for copying and mailing and other associated costs of processing the request for records.

Who do I call if I want my medical records or films released?

Please call the office during regular business hours to discuss your request for the release of your personal health information.

Do you have a wheelchair to help me from my car to your office?

Wheelchairs are available for patient use at the front entrances to the FoxCare Center.

What hospitals are your doctors affiliated with?

The physicians at FoxCare Orthopaedics are affiliated with A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.  For more information about the hospital, visit their website at www.foxcare.com or call 607-432-2000.

Are you doctors' board certified?

Dr. Dean Fochios is Board Certified In Orthopaedic Surgery, and Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Daniel Bowman is a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon.
